| At the 1880's Ranch we offer all kinds of riding experiences, the choice is yours. Our goal is to help you learn more about horses, as well as enjoying the ranch views and trails. Occasionally we plan a trip into the wilderness, so give us a call for an amazing ride into the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness area where we explore the surrounding mountains to high country lakes and nearby peaks!
As you can see on the trail map below, the ranch sits in Levengood Gulch at the base of Stucky Ridge. We have some amazing trails to ride on. We also offer a unique buggy ride, with our most impressive pair "Jake and John", who stand tall and proud in front of our Yellowstone Replica of a "people hauler" (up to ten at a time). We can take the whole family for a great ride into town, or along scenic roads.

| Horse riding isn't the only activity we offer. If camping, hiking, back packing, fishing, golfing, wildlife viewing, photographing mountain scenery, bird watching, trail maintenance, fence building, or just relaxing in the hot tub interests you-then call now to reserve one of our special cabins. Our staff is focused on helping you get the most out of your time with us! Every evening you can enjoy the ranch styled meals, while picking your activities for the next day off of the Activities Board. Then enjoy bonfire activities, after an evening hike to see the rocky mountain sheep in red rocks just above the ranch. Ever wanted to sleep i a Teepee-now is your chance! The spectacular Flint Range is your playground!
The 1880’s Ranch is bordered by U.S Forest Service land, and the Flint Creek Range with thousands of acres of Montana backcountry surrounding us. You will find yourself right in the heart of the awesome peaks pictured to the left. No question about it, the 1880’s Ranch is the perfect basecamp for exploring this breathtaking Montana high country and all the surrounding area has to offer. With great golfing just 3 miles away at "Old Works" and great fishing at Georgetown Lake and many close by streams, you'll be wishing you had a month to take it all in. Don't forget to go Saphire mining or explore some of the old ghost towns! |
